Overview

Join us for one of our classic long weekend yoga and Paddleboarding retreats, in the New Forest, Hampshire. These weekend retreats are the roots of The Wild Times; we originally started with our long weekend day yoga & Paddleboarding retreats across the UK, and we will have just a few of these classic retreats in 2026. We'll be here for 2 nights and 3 days of movement, meditation and adventures in both the forest and the sea from Friday to Sunday. There will be nourishing vegetarian food from the wonderful Beth the Free Range Chef, as well as yoga and paddle boarding with Jenny Clark, yoga teacher and founder of The Wild Times. This will be an intimate retreat, with just 9 guests. Read books in the garden, journal, relax in the sauna, walk in the forest (and meet the New Forest ponies!) and swim in the sea looking out towards the Isle of Wight. This is your time and space to rest and explore in this beautiful part of the UK, also easily accessible by train to Brockenhurst station.

Jenny Clark

Jenny Clark

Jenny is a yoga teacher, paddle board instructor, writer and Founder of The Wild Times. She has created and held over 80 retreats across the UK and in Morocco, Italy, Sweden and Greece.

Jenny always aims to create a very relaxed, non-judgemental environment on her retreats, where guests can connect to themselves, to others and to nature. She teaches and blends together a range of yoga and meditation styles; vinyasa, mandala vinyasa, yin, yoga Nidra, paddle board yoga.

In her classes you'll find a 'you do you' attitude, a focus on feeling into your body, belly and heart over creating shapes, options for different levels of yogi, a sense of humour and practices themed around the natural elements, with poems and meditations too.

Beth Alexander

Beth Alexander

Beth is our resident Wild Times chef, cooking on most of our retreats. She takes inspiration from cuisines around the world, from Italy to India, creating nourishing, vegetarian meals for guests to enjoy.

She cooks intuitively using simple seasonal ingredients with minimal waste whilst exploring all the flavours and textures and colours. Over the last 11 years she's learnt to adapt. Whether it’s cooking in the woods over fire, on an Aga in a luxury 13th-century castle, or a Moroccan kitchen with minimal facilities, no shared language and marauding peacocks, it always comes together.

"Bringing together ingredients to feed people is a simple and essential way to show you care, to connect with your tribe and unite over what makes us all human."

Location: Pylewell Park in the New Forest, Hampshire

Yoga, stillness and meditation in the beautiful New Forest, by the sea

Tiptoe Lodge is the family home of our hosts, Annabel and Angus, and has been lovingly held within Annabel’s family since the 1930s.

Set between forest and sea in the heart of the New Forest, the house enjoys a truly special location. The National Park begins just a five-minute walk away, and time spent wandering the surrounding woods and heathland forms a calm, grounding part of the retreat experience.

The light-filled yoga studio is fully heated for the winter months and can comfortably hold nine people. It has the feel and calming atmosphere of a traditional garden summerhouse. The large windows look out onto an ancient orchard and field beyond.

The south coast is also close by, with a classic British beach at Milford on Sea and Keyhaven, with views across to the Isle of Wight - perfect for paddleboarding and wild sea swimming.

Trip Tips

Do

Do

Settle in before starting the retreat with tea and arrival snacks before a grounding yoga class. Our retreats are themed around the natural elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air, and we will travel together through these throughout the retreat. We really try to cultivate a relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere on our retreats, where you can take what you need - rest or movement. The New Forest National Park in Hampshire has the very fortunate position of being both beautiful, wild forest, with wild ponies, cows, donkeys and more, and also right by the sea, overlooking the Isle of Wight. On Saturday we will be Paddleboarding around Kayhaven salt marshes, a beautiful birdwatchers paradise, towards Hurst Castle. And on Sunday we will go for a guided walk through the forest, across streams and through heathland. The New Forest is in easy reach of London, the train is 1 hour 40 minutes to Brockenhurst and then you can get a taxi (15 minutes) to the venue. .

Stay

Stay

Tiptoe Lodge is the family home of our hosts, Annabel and Angus, and has been lovingly held within Annabel’s family since the 1930s. Whilst much of the house has since been modernised, many of the original features remain and there is a hint of yesteryear about the whole place. Annabel, an artist with a keen eye for detail, has thoughtfully styled the house to create rooms that feel both relaxed and refined. Referring to a pre-war family connection to India, birthplace of yoga, the bedrooms carry the names of historical Indian locations. Accommodation is shared, with limited options available for solo occupancy, as well as two twin bedrooms. There is a separate yoga studio in the beautiful large garden, next to the shepherds hut sauna. There is also a newly refurbished annexe, which is attached to the house and can be accessed through the house or from outside. I that a private terrace, a kitchen and living area, a downstairs bathroom and two upstairs double bedrooms.

Eat

Eat

All the food on the retreat is prepared by Beth the Free Range Chef, our chief Wild Times chef. It is all nutritious, wholesome and vegetarian. Snacks, drinks and meals are provided. There will be fruit and a hot drink station for you to help yourself to throughout, with herbal teas, coffee, fresh mint, lemon and ginger. We can cater for dietary requirements if you let us know beforehand - we will send you booking forms 6 weeks before to get your dietary requirements and more information.

Reviews

What an epic weekend - the perfect good for the soul retreat that gave me the calm, slowdown and adventure that I needed. What a magical weekend to restore, rest, be in nature - creating a community second to none! Can’t wait to book my next retreat with the Wild Times.

Erica

I went on my first yoga retreat with The Wild Times and had a great weekend! Attention and love have been put into these experiences and it came through. I came away from the weekend feeling grounded, relaxed, energised, and keen to return in the future.
