Overview
Do you fancy a different New Year's Eve this year? Join us for a 4-day/3-night New Year's Eve yoga retreat at this incredible historic riverside estate, also known as the Forgotten Corner of Cornwall. This peaceful place is a haven blending medieval roots with a 21st-century vision, offering you the chance to live simply and wildly, surrounded by unspoiled natural landscapes and abundant wildlife. Erth Peninsula lies on 300 acres of regenerative farmland and woodland and encircled by the River Lynher, with views to Dartmoor lying to one side, and the village of St Germans on the other. There are plenty of spaces to walk and explore during your stay. Take a swim in the sea at Whitsand Bay or dip in the nearby river at high tide. We'll be practicing daily yoga in either the beautiful 13th-century chapel or the cosy yurt. Read books by the fire, walk along the South West Coast Path, toast marshmallows and welcome in the new year around the campfire. Eat delicious food by Beth the Free Range Chef. We will also have two optional writing workshops - one to reflect on the year we've had, and one to dream and vision big goals for the coming year. We find that this liminal time between Christmas and New Years is a wonderful time for this... This retreat has been specifically designed for you to rest, reflect and dream, then float into the New Year with a little more space in your body and mind, and calm in your soul.

OUR RETREAT VENUE
Our home for this retreat is a Jacobean House of historical mystery, built of stone and granite with mullion windows. On the grounds there is even a 12th Century chapel, within a courtyard setting and in the neighbouring paddocks, we have a yurt, a cabin and a couple of shepherds huts.
There are a range of accommodation options in the retreat from twin/ double rooms (plus two options of a triple room) in the main house, to Shepherds Huts if you like to be in the heart of nature. Many rooms are en-suite with some including views over the gardens or river.
The rooms and whole house have been lovingly restored and furnished into modern luxury, with high-thread count, low lighting, soft furnishings, luxurious and creative details with an eco conscience, sustainable materials and antiques. But the real luxury here is the peace of mind, a lack of road noise, or flight paths and everything created intentionally for your wellbeing.
ERTH PENINSULA
Erth Peninsula lies on 300 acres of regenerative farmland, encircled by the River Lynher with views to Dartmoor lying to one side, and the village of St Germans on the other. This is unspoilt land, there are no public footpaths here, so we walk with care on the land. The estate house is a beautifully renovated historic folly at the top of the hill, with views from large granite mullion windows over the River Lynher that snakes around both its sides.
The place is wild - as soon as you drive onto the peninsula, you’re entering another world.
RAME PENINSULA & SOUTH WEST COASTAL PATH
Whitsand Bay (just a 20 minute drive), is located between Rame Head and Portwrinkle this is possibly one of the best stretches of beach in this part of Cornwall. Whitsand Bay consists of an expanse of sand approaching 4 miles in length towards low tide where several smaller coves and beaches join up. This stretch of the South West Coastal Path has something of a wild feel to it. The pretty coastal villages of Cawsand and Kingsand beyond Rame Head are a must to visit.
Trip Tips
Do
Settle in before starting the retreat with tea, snacks and our opening circle. Day one (Sunday) is all about grounding and resting, so we will do yin yoga and a magical sound bath before dinner, preparing us for a good, long sleep. Monday will bring morning yoga and meditation, before a hearty brunch, and free time to walk, swim or relax. After afternoon snacks, there will be an optional writing workshop with cacao. Later on we will practice yin yoga before a delicious dinner. On Tuesday there will be morning yoga and meditation, brunch, walks by the sea, wild swims. We will have another writing workshop, all about dreams, plans and goals for the upcoming year. After a restorative yin class there will be some space before dinner, campfire and NYE celebrations. Wednesday morning - New Year's Day- we'll have yoga then an optional sea swim before a hearty breakfast. This is then followed by a closing circle and departures. The yoga classes are themed around the natural elements, bringing nature into your practice. All activities are optional but encouraged, so you can nap, read or swim and explore - it’s completely up to you. Also - all activities are weather dependant, so we leave space for the schedule to change and flow!
