Do

Settle into your luxury cabin and explore the surrounding woodland glade, before our opening circle and meditation. There will be a surprise evening workshop, a guided nature walk with the wonderful Merlin, a night time visit to find the resident beaver family and an optional surf trip to the beautiful Polzeath Beach. Mornings will bring meditation and dynamic vinyasa yoga, evenings will include yin and yoga Nidra classes, to nourish you and help you learn how to slow down and properly rest. There will be plenty of free time for reading, napping and exploring the woods and river.

Stay

Cabilla is an ancient and beautiful wilderness hidden away on Bodmin Moor. The newly built cabins (each with their own log burner) are set in the woodland, surrounded by standing stones, moss and oak trees. Designed with comfort and restfulness in mind they are simply furnished and available as King size or Twin beds. The cabins have soft Egyptian cotton bed linen and throws, nature books and battery powered lamps in each tent. It is just a minute or two walk to our light-filled yoga & dining barn by the meadow. The toilets and showers have products by the natural beauty company Bramley, hairdryers and a drying room for your swimming costumes.

Eat

Our incredible chef Beth the Free Range Chef will be creating all of our delicious meals throughout the retreat. Beth is our resident Wild Times chef, who creates culinary wonders in the kitchen with lots of vegetables, fruit, ancient grains and freshly baked goods. She is inspired by cuisines around the world, from Iran to Italy (via her home near Bath!) There will be a hot drink station for you to help yourself to throughout, with herbal teas, coffee, fresh mint, lemon and ginger, and fruit and snacks available. We can cater for dietary requirements if you let us know beforehand.

Location: Cornwall

Cornwall beautiful and a well-known tourist destination, for it's crystal blue waters, seaside villages, surf breaks (and Poldark!) But our special venue is a part of Cornwall many visitors don't often see - Cabilla Farm on Bodmin Moor.

Cabilla is focussed on restoration, retreats and research, with a 1000 year plan to restore biodiversity to this farmland. The beautiful oak woodland here is an ancient temperate rainforest. The air is so pure that rare lichens grow and it's a designated Dark Sky Reserve as there is so little light pollution, so star-gazing is a must. The Bedalder River that runs through it has many woodland pools for refreshing morning dips. Bedalder means sweet water in Cornish, because the water here is so pure it even tastes sweet.

The Wild Times were the first to ever organise a retreat at Cabilla in 2021, before they had even built the stunning, light-filled living barn, kitchen and yoga space.

The famous Polzeath beach is a 40 minute drive away, where we will meet the instructors from George's Surf School for an optional 2 hour surf lesson, which is £40 and includes wetsuit and equipment hire. Please email us upon booking to let us know if you want to join the surf trip.
